Peer Review Process

Journal of Innovation in Computer Science and Pharma-Bio Research

The Journal of Innovation in Computer Science and Pharma-Bio Research is committed to maintaining high standards of academic quality, integrity, and transparency. All submitted manuscripts are evaluated through a structured peer-review process designed to ensure fairness, objectivity, and scholarly rigor across its interdisciplinary scope, spanning computer science, pharmaceutical sciences, and biological research.

1. Type of Peer Review

The journal follows a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process. This approach helps minimize bias and supports impartial assessment of submitted work.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial office to assess:

Relevance to the journal’s aims and scope
Compliance with author guidelines
Basic ethical and technical requirements, including originality checks and, where applicable, ethical approvals for studies involving humans, animals, or clinical data

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to authors without external review.

3. Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are typically reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise. For interdisciplinary submissions, the editor may select reviewers from both the computational and the pharmaceutical or biological domains to ensure balanced evaluation.

Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, publication record, and absence of conflicts of interest.

4. Review Timeline

The journal aims to complete the peer-review process within a reasonable timeframe. Review timelines may vary depending on factors such as manuscript complexity, reviewer availability, and revision requirements.

No specific review or acceptance time is guaranteed.

5. Review Criteria

Reviewers are requested to evaluate manuscripts based on:

Originality and relevance of the research
Methodological rigor and clarity, including soundness of computational models, experimental design, and data analysis
Reproducibility and availability of data, code, or protocols where applicable
Ethical compliance
Quality of analysis and interpretation
Contribution to the field
6. Editorial Decision-Making Process

Based on reviewer reports and editorial assessment, the Editor-in-Chief or designated handling editor will make one of the following decisions:

Accept
Accept with minor revisions
Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
Reject

Final publication decisions rest with the editorial leadership of the journal.

7. Conflict of Interest Handling

All editors and reviewers are required to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest prior to handling a manuscript. If a conflict is identified, the individual will be recused from the review or decision-making process.

Authors are also required to disclose any relevant conflicts of interest at the time of submission, including financial or commercial relationships relevant to the research.

8. Ethical Oversight

The peer-review process is conducted in accordance with the principles and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal reserves the right to investigate and act upon any concerns related to ethical misconduct during the review process.

9. Confidentiality

All submitted manuscripts and review reports are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality and not use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage.
