Plagiarism Policy
Journal of Innovation in Computer Science and Pharma-Bio Research
The Journal of Innovation in Computer Science and Pharma-Bio Research is committed to maintaining the highest standards of research integrity and publication ethics. All submissions are expected to be original and to adhere to ethical guidelines regarding plagiarism, citation, and proper acknowledgment of sources.
Use of Plagiarism Detection Tools
To ensure originality, all submitted manuscripts may be screened using recognized plagiarism detection software. This process helps identify substantial overlap with previously published work and ensures that proper citations are provided.
Acceptable Similarity Thresholds
While some similarity due to common phrases, methodology descriptions, or references may occur, manuscripts with unacceptable levels of overlap may be subject to further review. There is no rigid numerical threshold; each case is evaluated in context, considering the nature of the overlap and the field of study.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are expected to:
Submit original work that has not been published elsewhere
Properly cite all sources, including text, data, images, source code, algorithms, and ideas
Avoid duplicate publication, self-plagiarism, or any form of misrepresentation
Actions Taken in Case of Misconduct
If plagiarism or ethical misconduct is detected, the journal will take appropriate action, which may include:
Rejection of the manuscript at any stage of review
Notification to the authors’ institutions or funding bodies
Retraction or correction of published articles, if applicable
Reporting serious cases to relevant ethical or professional organizations
All actions are guided by COPE’s guidelines on publication ethics and aim to uphold the integrity of the scientific record.
Editorial Oversight
The editorial team reserves the right to assess, investigate, and make decisions regarding suspected plagiarism. Authors are encouraged to ensure that all citations and references are accurate and that permissions for reused material are obtained where necessary, including for figures, images, datasets, and software code.
